Elizabeth Ankudowich, Ph.D., is Program Chief of the Multimodal Neurotherapeutics Program at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). The overarching goal of this program is to advance neurotherapeutics for major mental disorders and clinical dimensions of psychopathology through a “non-siloed,” personalized medicine approach with an emphasis on the synergistic effects of combined and/or multimodal approaches. Additionally, Dr. Ankudowich is a member of the trans-NIH Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative Teams focused on advancement of Neural Recording & Modulation/Technology Development in Humans, Human Neuroimaging Technologies, and Neuroethics. Prior to joining NIMH, Dr. Ankudowich completed her postdoctoral and doctoral training in Neuroscience at McGill University, where she applied multivariate analysis approaches to human functional neuroimaging to elucidate patterns of brain activity and connectivity associated with episodic memory across the lifespan
